The Success to Significance dinner series honors prominent leaders in areas such as art, media, culture and sports who have achieved great success in their fields and have moved from success to significance by giving back to society in a philanthropic form. Honorees exemplify these values and are presented with the WVI Dolphin Award at the dinner.
On the evening of Wednesday, November 29, at Club 101 in Manhattan, the Wealth and Values Initiative (WVI) honored Henrik Lundqvist, world-famous NY Ranger starting goalie, who is also the founder of the Henrik Lundqvist Foundation (HLF).
Co-founded in 2014 by Henrik and his wife Therese, the HLF is a non-profit organization aiming to provide better lives for children and adults through education and healthcare services. HLF has taken an active part in supporting families in poverty with affordable healthcare, accommodation, and education.
An excited group of WVI legacy families and friends interacted with Henrik and Therese, learned more about his extraordinary life and the mission of the HLF via an interview with famed sportscaster Joe Micheletti, while dining with their colleagues.
Henrik was presented with the Dolphin Award which exemplifies leaders who have achieved professional success and give back to society.
Through our generous members and sponsors, the WVI raised a substantial sum to donate to HLF.
Our next WVI Success to Significance Dinner will honor a prestigious veteran and will be held in September 2018.
