Wealth & Values Initiative
To Recognize Col. Jack Jacobs
New York, NY (August 1, 2018) — The Wealth & Values Initiative, an organization dedicated to ensuring the successful intergenerational transfer of wealth and values, will recognize the service to our country of Medal of Honor recipient Col. Jack Jacobs during its Success to Significance Veterans Dinner on Thursday, September 27th at the 3 West Club in Manhattan.
Col. Jacobs, who currently serves as NBC’s military analyst and teaches at West Point, was awarded the Medal of Honor in 1969 for remarkable heroism in saving fellow soldiers in Viet Nam.
At the WVI dinner, Col. Jacobs will be interviewed by Admiral John Mustin about current world developments, the need for communities of service and the future of our country.
“As a Veteran, I have the deepest respect and admiration for Col. Jacobs’ service to our country and his commitment to its future,” said Peter Cuneo, Chairman of the Wealth & Values Initiative. “Reinforcing the importance of service to our country and the generational transfer of wealth and values has never been more important.”
“While I was on the ground in Viet Nam, the U.S. Navy — and Peter — were providing needed cover from the water,” said Col. Jacobs. “Teaming with him again on this important initiative will be a welcome assignment.”
At Col. Jacobs’ request, 50% of the dinner proceeds will be contributed to Cento Amici, a Foundation that raises money for need-based scholarships. Col. Jacobs serves on the Board of Cento Amici.
“As the former Chief Executive of a number of publicly-traded companies, I can attest to the importance of strong values, and the preservation of wealth, in both corporate America and family life,” said Robert Catell, a special advisor to WVI and the Chairman of AERTC at Sony Brook. “Elevating this discussion and including the importance of education is paramount today.”
